Mathematics and Computer Science for Materials Innovation : Crystal-Lattice Classifications
Date : 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 September 2022
Venue : Hybrid form
Organizer : Vitaliy KURLIN
Since the MACSMIN conference in 2022 is a satellite event of the 33rd European Crystallographic Meeting, the focus will be on crystallography, for example, on different (discrete and continuous) methods to classify lattices and crystals.
We plan tutorials in the emerging area of Periodic Geometry, which studies metric spaces of periodic structures.
We are still open to contributions that apply mathematics or computer science to materials in the spirit of MACSMIN.
Because of Covid, we are planning the hybrid conference at the Materials Innovation Factory (MIF), University of Liverpool (UK) with a modest budget to cover accommodation and possibly travel for some participants and our collaborators.
The MIF will host the symposium of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Functional Materials Design on 21-23 September
